Season of Prayer

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” - II Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)

Prayer is the invitation of God’s will. Now more than ever before, we need to make a renewed commitment to pray on behalf of our church, our community, and our nation. Join us over the course of 30 days as we answer the call to prayer and release the tremendous power available as a result.

NewsThanks! to all of you who took part on April 26th in support of this Covenant In Action (C.I.A.) event.  Because of you CIC has made a difference. You helped St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance and Phoenix Rescue Mission distribute over 5 tons of food and prepare over 10,000 meals. Your continued support of Crisis Pregnancy Center touched the lives of many women and helped them to choose life for their unborn children.  Single moms and the elderly were blessed by your generosity and compassion as you helped them with yard work and home remodeling and repair projects.  Last but not least thank you! because your clean up and repair efforts around the church will ensure Covenant International Church remains a place to call home!

News43 men had their lives changed as they decended on the cool pines at Bison Ranch Retreat Center in Overgard, AZ for 3 days of actioned packed fellowship and ministry.  This was the perfect location for the Men Of Covenant to get to know one another and make lasting friendships as well as receiving the tools they needed to change their own lives.  Their was plenty of free time where we all joined together for fishing, pool, ping pong, air hockey, chess, mountain bike riding and much more.  We were not only feed spiritually but we had more than enough food during the 5 meals provided for us at the Ranch.  It was unanimous.  Everyone is looking forward to Men's Advance 2009!

NewsThis was an incredible event.  Over four thousand teenagers converged on Dodge Theater for an intense two day conferece.  There were DJ's, Dramas, Rock, Alternative, and R & B groups playing great music.  Students of Revolution were blown away as the founder of Dare 2 Share, Greg Stier and guest speaker, former NFL Pro-Bowler, Derwin Gray delivered powerfull messages that empowered and challenged students to share the message of Christ.  Not only did students accept the challenge of telling their friends about Christ, hundrends of students accepted the Lord into their heart that day.  Looking forward to next years Dare2Share event.

NewsThis was a powerful time as Team KIDZ BLITZ came again this year and delivered a smash service for the children of Covenant.  This high-octane, Christian event was for the whole family. With fast-paced action and Super Bowl excitement, Kidz Blitz LIVE targeted the elementary age kids while engaging people of all ages. Kids had a great time learning while they had a blast.  Many children stepped up and brought their friends to this event, and a lot of them accepted Christ for the first time.  Great job kids and many thanks for all adult volunteers who made this event happen.  Can't wait till next year.

NewsMISSIOIN ACCOMPLISHED: The C.I.A. recently returned from its annual Christmas mission trip to Brazos De Amor Orphanage in Agua Prieta, Mexico where they shared the Spirit of Christmas and the love of Jesus with over 40 needy children.  Because of the faithful support of the people of CIC we were able to bless all of the children with clothes, shoes and toys. The children also participated in Jesus' birthday party where they were able to play games, work on crafts and of course take their turn at breaking the Pinatas.  Everyone also received toothbrushes, dental floss and training in proper dental hygiene.  The smile you helped put on the children's faces was priceless.  Well done CIC.

NewsThe First Annual Couples Breakfast, with over 100 in attendance, was a tremendous success.  Everyone was blessed as they enjoyed an American style breakfast, the CIC Couples Game and the giving away of over $2,000 dollars in door prizes.  And to top it all off Pastors Larry and Carie Seratt shared a word from their heart and prayed for every one in attendance.

NewsMembers of the Fun Over Fifty Ministry recently returned from a 3 day 2 night excursion to the Grand Canyon National Park one the “Seven Wonders of the World”.  We traveled from CIC to Williams were we enjoyed the cool mountain air and wonderful amenities at the Grand Canyon Hotel.  We rose early the next morning and were treated to a buffet breakfast and a Wild West gun show before boarding the Grand Canyon Express for the 2 hour scenic train ride to the Grand Canyon.  We spent several hours at the Canyon were we enjoyed a Coach Tour of the Canyon, lunch and of course shopping.  Our train ride back to Williams did have its moments when a gang of train robbers boarded the train and held everyone at gunpoint until the Sheriff over powered the robbers and saved the day.  That evening we enjoyed the famous “Route 66” gift shops.  Some even enjoyed the historic area in horse drawn buggies.  On our return trip home we stopped by the amazing Montezuma’s Castle to see how life was in Arizona hundreds of years ago. And of course the trip would not have been complete with an order of authentic Indian Fry Bread for lunch.
