Our desire is to see people restored in every area of their life by the power of God. The ministry of CIC can be summarized in III John 2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” Our vision is to provide: REDEMPTION, RECONCILIATION, and RESTORATION to GENERATIONS RedemptionTo the UnconvertedBy exercising the authority of Jesus Christ over all the works of darkness as we evangelize the lost, heal the sick, deliver the oppressed, comfort the broken-hearted, and serve the poor (Matthew 18:19-20; Luke 4:18). To the Christian By equipping and training believers to actively extend the Kingdom of God in the home, market place, community, and abroad (Ephesians 4:12; Luke 10:1-11). ReconciliationBetween God and Humanity As ambassadors of Christ, we have been given the ministry of reconciliation in order to proclaim to fallen humanity that, through Jesus Christ, one can be fully reconciled to God (II Corinthians 5:18-21). Between Ethnic GroupsProclaiming and demonstrating that God does not esteem one race above another, while maintaining harmony and equality among every ethnic group (Acts 10:24-34; Galatians 3:28). Between Socio/Economic GroupsProclaiming and demonstrating that God treats all people equally regardless of their socio/economic status, and that rich and poor meet in God’s House without a sense of superiority or inferiority (James 2:1-9). Between Young and OldProclaiming and demonstrating love and respect toward those of different age groups as we rejoin the generations of young and old (Malachi 4:6; Acts 2:17). RestorationSpiritualBy virtue of the atonement of Christ’s redeeming work on the cross, one’s spirit can be restored when conversion to Christ is made (John 3:16; Romans 8:1-17; II Corinthians 5:17). PhysicalBy virtue of the atonement of Christ’s redeeming work on the cross, physical healing has been made available to all that believe (Isaiah 53:5; I Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:16-17). EmotionalBy virtue of the atonement of Christ’s redeeming work on the cross, one can be completely restored in his/her soul (Psalm 23:3; Isaiah 53:5; I Thessalonians 5:23). FinancialBy virtue of the atonement of Christ’s redeeming work on the cross, the curse of poverty has been broken (Galatians 3:13-14; John 10:10; II Corinthians 8:9). GenerationsFamily Nurturing the family unit so that our children and children’s children will serve the Lord all the days of their life (Joshua 24:15; II Timothy 1:5). Church Building a local church that in the generations to come will carry out the mission and vision of CIC as directed by God from His Holy Word (Matthew 16:18; Psalms 145:4).
