Pastor Seratt has called the Valley home since he was a child. His grandparents moved to Arizona during the Great Depression and the family made a home of this wonderful community. When Pastor was 17 years old, the Seratt family moved to Oklahoma. It was there that he met his bride.
Shortly after Pastor Seratt started his own family, he was called by God to return to Phoenix and start a church; so the Covenant Story began. In 1992 Pastor Larry and Carie Seratt and their small children arrived in Phoenix with everything they owned in the back of a Ryder Truck. They had no support or backing, just faith in the Lord and His Word.
Seven months after Pastor Larry and Carie arrived in the Valley, they began a small Bible study, meeting with four other families in their living room. And in April of 1993, the first Covenant service was held with 63 people in attendance.
Now, with over 15 years in ministry, CIC stands as one of the strongest and most influential churches in the greater Phoenix metro area. The international reach of CIC is continually growing. Besides supporting many home missions, CIC provides guidance and support for missionaries and Christ centered organizations throughout the world. Countless lives have been redeemed and blessed by the ministry; and the best is yet to come
